Manchester Untied Ransom Film
We see a man adjusting the camera – the camera then moves around and we see a can of blue paint. We pull back and see a man in overalls. He’s in a warehouse and is pouring blue paint into a spray paint container. We see Fred the Red, the Manchester United Football Club mascot, tied to chair. Fred is struggling to break free, but to no avail.
The camera then moves round to reveal an old TV. We focus on the TV, watching the video that is playing. There is a man on the TV screen, sitting in a board room, with a Special Olympics Great Britain logo behind him. He says:
We are Special Olympics Athletes. Our organisation provides year-round sports training and competition for more than 8,000 people with learning disabilities. But we need the cash to do it. So get your hands in your pockets or Fred the Red will become sky blue.
The camera moves back from the TV screen, onto the mascot and the man next to him. The man puts a mask and goggles on and picks up the spray painter gun, turning it on and aiming it at Fred the Red.
We then see a button on the screen that says 'Donate Now'.
